Overview
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Executive Housekeeper ready to take on a long-term leadership role within a lovely, young family's growing household. Located in a well-appointed 7k-square-foot Midtown Manhattan high-rise, this hybrid position combines hands-on housekeeping with true leadership. Supervising a housekeeper and managing vendors and projects, this role is the operational backbone of a busy, high-standard home. The ideal candidate is as comfortable coordinating a household project as they are handling fine fabric care, and will bring discretion, professionalism, and a calm demeanor to all they do.
The Household
Two principals, their dog, a Chef, an Executive Assistant, and a Housekeeper. You'll work closely with household and building staff as well as outside vendors. This is a collaborative, team-oriented position, and the right professional will set the tone in the home with their calm and positive presence.
Schedule
- Tuesday–Saturday, 40 hours/week, 10 AM–6 PM.
- 3 days of overlap with the housekeeper’s schedule
- Scheduling flexibility may be needed to accommodate the principals' travel, entertaining, and household needs.
Compensation
- $125k–$140k/year, depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities
Household Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, guest-ready residence daily
- Perform and oversee all aspects of housekeeping, organization (e.g., pantry), laundry (wardrobe and fine fabric care), ironing, and detailed care of fine furnishings, art, and surfaces
- Supervise and support the housekeeper, setting and meeting cleaning standards
- Manage grocery shopping and household supplies inventory
- Share pet care duties with the housekeeper, including walks, feeding, and vet appointments
- Run household errands as needed
- Anticipate household needs before being asked, and develop solutions independently
Household Project & Vendor Management
- Source, vet, schedule, and oversee household vendors, including preventive maintenance and repairs
- Serve as the on-site liaison for future renovation projects
- Keep the principals and Executive Assistant informed on vendor/project status; flag issues proactively
- Maintain organized records for warranties and service contacts
Coordination
- Partner closely with the Executive Assistant to stay aligned on the principals' schedule, travel, household needs, and car registrations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as an Executive Housekeeper and/or House Manager in a private household, with 10+ years of private service overall
- Luxury apartment/condo experience, including managing household projects and vendors
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- Calm, positive demeanor, with the ability to pivot as household priorities evolve
- Comfortable working with professionals across diverse backgrounds and skill sets
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Discreet, trustworthy, and held to high standards of confidentiality
- NYC-based or able to commute easily to Manhattan
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
